First Contact Program for Titans Athletes

Submitted by John Pedari

The Titans are looking for parents who would be willing to share their expertise from time to time to meet with athletes who may be dealing with a physical injury. As a first line of response, the volunteer may be able to do an initial assessment and help direct the athlete/family to further investigate the injury. So, if any parent is willing to volunteer their expertise as a physician, dentist, physiotherapist, chiropractor, or massage therapist, could you please send me an e-mail at pedarij@golden.net .

Volunteer Needed for Club Treasurer

The Club needs you!!!

The Titans Board of Directors is looking for a new treasurer.  Our current treasurer, Damian Laflamme, is hanging up his calculator after three years of loyal service.  If you are an accountant, know someone who is, or have similar qualifications and/or experience in accounting, please contact Rennie Marcoux, Vice-President of the Titans Board of Directors at nicnat3@sympatico.ca.  Damian is staying on until the completion of the external audit but is anxious to pass on the torch.

Supported in his/her duties by the managers of the various programs and the Club bookkeeper, the treasurer, as set out in the Club’s constitution, “shall keep full and accurate accounts of all receipts and disbursements of the Association in proper books of account, and shall deposit all monies or other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Association in such bank or banks as may be designated by the Board of Directors.  The treasurer shall disburse the funds of the Association under the direction of the Board of Directors, taking proper vouchers therefore, and shall render to the Board of Directors, at its regular meetings, or when otherwise required by the Board of Directors, an account of all transactions and the financial position of the Association.  The treasurer shall also perform other duties and responsibilities that may be determined by the Board of Directors.”
