“Certainty in Uncertain Times”

1. John's sermon centered on finding certainty in a world riddled with uncertainty and our idolatrous attempts to do so. Do you struggle with uncertainty? How?

2. John said our mission must be settled before we enter the challenging situation. What is your mission?

3. Interact with this quote: “Achieving what you want without being surrendered to God becomes a weapon we use against God.”

4. Do you see yourself as made in God's image with a divine purpose? I know we all say we do, but is this something that you really think about?

5. How is your awareness of a divine destiny? Are you truly aware that God goes to great lengths to save you?

6. Interact with this idea: We try to squeeze eternality into temporality (this life). How does this practice reduce our certainty? [I know this is a hard question.]
