Insert your finished glyph on ZOHO Writer or Google Docs.
(The layout of your glyph must be either horizontal or mostly horizontal)
Type the three topics/activities that you enjoyed the most three times so those topics appear larger.
Insert your Wordle Glyph in ZOHO Writer or Google Docs (Title document Final Exam Feb. 2010)

2. Write a definition/description (in your own words) of each of your 15 topics.
No one and two sentence definitions. Your definitions/explanations must be at least four sentences.

3. Add at least two or more hyperlinks to each definition/explanation.
One hyperlink must be a link to a related assignment of yours.

4. In two or more paragraphs, explain why you work as hard as you do to earn the marks that you receive? You must include hyperlinks - at least three.

5. Create a Wordle glyph from your two or more paragraphs.

What does your list of significant events say about your world view?
Click here and download one earth image to your picture folder.

Once downloaded, open the earth image in Paint

Add numbers - 1 through 10 on each location on the map that you chose as a significant decade event.

For example if one of your significant events was the war in Iraq, then place a 1
where Iraq is located on the map.
If one of your significant events was the passing of Michael Jackson, then place a 2 where Los Angeles is located on the map. etc.

See Paint example below

After you create your numbered map, give it a smart name, and save it as a JPEG file in your picture folder.
Next, insert your numbered map to your blog.
If you do not have a blog, insert your image to ZOHO Writer or to Google Docs.

Write a short paragraph explaining what your numbered map says about your

All Digital Archiving students will wrap up the 2009 school year in a lighthearted way by creating a comic strip using bubblesnaps.com

All students will create one strip per day for the next four days.
Each day the theme of your strip will change.

You must create a three picture "comic" strip on the topic below

Today's topic is The Importance of Education.
(Why is education important, especially in 2009, what a decent education
do for you in the future, why it is important to work hard now if you want to "chill" tomorrow.)

First, save three of the Bird on a Wire pictures to your picture folder/screenshot folder.
Pictures must all be the same color. (sepia or color)

If you do not have a picture/screenshot folder, please create one now in My Documents.

Next, upload one picture at a time to bubblesnaps.com and add bubble captions to each picture.
Click this link to select the pictures

Quick tips on using Bubblesnaps...

Make certain all your words are spelled correctly before you click FINISH

You will need to use the PrintScreen key to take a snapshot of your finished strip.

Paste your finished snapshot in Paint, crop it and save the image to your screen shot folder.  Give each image a smart name "education1, education2, education3.

See 12/14/09 classwork (below) if you were absent yesterday.

Post all completed work for today on your Wallwisher.com page for 12/14/09.

All students should have a Wallwisher.com account

We are using Wallwisher like it were an online bulletin board where you  post digital sticky notes with links to works completed and works in progress.

You will build a new Wallwisher wall every week.

IMPORTANT: Your report (from yesterday) on hyperlinking is due at the end of the class period.

If you need more time to prepare and publish a report on hyperlinking you may use today's class period to do that.

All reports should contain at least three hyperlinks.

If you completed your report on hyperlinking, then "build a wall" in Wallwisher.com that includes "digital sticky notes" to all works completed for the week of 12/7/09.
Title: YourFirstName's Digital Bulletin Board for 12/7/09
Subtitle: My classroom bulletin board

Edit your title: Songhai's Digital Bulletin board
Add a subtitle My classroom bulletin board for 12/14/09
and choose a URL for the week (songhaisboard121409)

Use ZOHO or Google Docs to prepare a brief report on hyperlinking:

1. What is hyperlinking and hypertext writing?
2. What hyperlinking activities have you worked on over the last 3 weeks?
3. What distinguishes hypertext writing from ordinary text documents?
4. How would you rate your hyperlinking skills - proficient, good, unsatisfactory?
(explain all of your answers)

You are encouraged to use hyperlinks when preparing this document.

Post a link to this document (even if it is incomplete) on Wallwisher.com and share your digital bulletin board via Twitter.

Note: any slideshow work from last week that I do not have must be completed on your time.

The deadline for adding hyperlinks to this poem is Thursday, December 3rd.

As you wrap up hyperlinking this poem, keep in mind that poetry is filled with deep and hidden meaning.
There is much more to a poem than meets the eye.

You must read  between the lines to get the deeper meaning of a poem.
Think carefully about what you read.
What does the line you just read represent - what's it look like?
You must see through the literal.

As you wrap up this exercise, think about what each line or passage in the poem is saying and find the perfect picture synonym to match it.

Do not put the exact line or passage into your search box.
That will only get you what the student next to you gets.

Be bold in your thinking.
Do not be intimidated by Google or other search engines.
Type exactly what you mean in the search box to get what you want.

STYLSTIC NOTE: Please keep your images consistent - use all color images or all black & white images.
Also use landscape images only - no portrait pictures.

If school were to end today - forever, that's it, no more school, given what you have learned in this class and in all of your other classes over the years, what kind of job would you qualify for and what kind of an asset would you be to any company/organization or a business of your own? Answer smartly and intelligently in either ZOHO, Google Docs, Blogger or WordPress. Be specific and give details.

Answer in three paragraphs or more include at least 4 smart, relevant hyperlinks and include at least two smart, relevant pictures.

You must send me a link via twitter to your responses.

Last week's SEPTA strike was an unfortunate inconvenience for students and teachers alike, nevertheless, students enrolled in this class are always able to access the classwork for this course online if you choose to do so.

If you did not attend school last week please prepare this document in 3-4 paragraphs on your blog (Blogger or WordPress). If you do not have a blog, create this document with ZOHO Writer.

You must add at least four hyperlinks to this document

1.  Did you attempt to access any of the classwork from home during the SEPTA strike? If so explain what you did.  If not explain why you did not. (answer this only if you were not here last week)

2. What do you want your teachers to do? (for example - what do you want your barber or hairdresser to do... what do you want your mother, your father, or your guardian to do?)

3. What do you think your teachers expect you to do?
