      1. External Relations VP for McSA

      2. Getting support from student groups, faculty, etc

      3. Meeting with Dean Finn next Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 9:30 am

      5. APEC, Alianza, Asian/American studies, Latino studies on board

      6. Can get a minor under the program

      7. Date for implementation? Still organizing

      8. Accomplishments last year: faculty advisor and professor

      9. There are other Islamic studies programs throughout the country.

      10. Islamic Awareness Week during the fall, use to launch Islamic Studies program

      11. This summer to ask Chicagoland area Islamic foundations and other countries for financial support

      12. FMO support would entail documenting support in writing when talking to administration, publicity and awareness campaign help, one FMO member to act as liaison between committee and FMO

      1. Zach asked everyone to sign petition to remove Ms. Cooke from her position

      2. Zach submitted three points about reasons for no confidence

      3. Article in the Daily Northwestern






      1. Cooke may show favoritism toward black student leaders and hasn’t met with everyone

      2. Possible meeting tomorrow or Tuesday; want to meet with VP Banis

      3. To find more ways to support the movement talk to Marrion or Zach

      1. Collect money by last Thursday this month
