Session Title:  Coaching Smart Using the SMART Board to teach technique and process in Activities & Athletics
Description:  This session will demonstrate how the SMART Board may be employed in Activities such as Theatre and Athletics. Traditionally, Coaches and Drama Directors have employed chalkboards and static playbooks but with the SMART Board, one can show a desired group action each step of the way and incorporate video of both successful as well as unsuccessful actions. Some explanation of instructional design and the benefits of the SMART Board will be given to set the understanding of the role of the coach in athletic game preparation. The underlying premise is that learning does not stop outside of the classroom and that the same tools that help our students learn knowledge and skills in the classroom may help them on the field and the stage as well.
