BRENT KADO

  
 

Brent Kado grew up near Elkhart, Indiana. He attended Ball State University for his undergraduate degree and DePaul University for his masters. Kado's website Avant/Chicago (avantchicago.com) has been met with wide spread popularity and has been recognized by the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times as one of the city’s top websites. Kado has published two books. The first was a novel based on his travels across America entitled And Yet It Moves published in 2001. In 2007 Blues and the Machine was completed. The work looks at the development of the Blues District in Chicago as well as the death of postmodern thinking. He also has a radio show on WLUW 88.7 FM in Chicago. He wrote, directed, and produced Off the Cuff with wife Jessica Hardy.

 
 
 
 
JESSICA HARDY
 
 
 
Jessica Hardy is also a native of Elkhart, IN. She attended Indiana University for her undergraduate degree. She was a member of the Elkhart Civic Theatre for two years until she moved to Chicago to train at The Second City conservatory in 2002. Jessica has appeared as an extra on ER, Fred Claus, and The Beast. She recently acted in a viral web commercial for Dove and a regional commercial for Americash. She appeared on Mixtape-a sketch comedy show on Omaha’s local CW channel. After performing and writing with several Chicago improv groups she wrote, directed, and produced Off the Cuff with husband Brent Kado. She appears as Krystal in the film.
