SOP Class of 2009 Achieves 97.26% NAPLEX Pass Rate |
|
The 2009 graduating class of the SIUE School of Pharmacy achieved a 97.26% passing rate on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) examination between May 1 and August 1, nearly two percentage points above the average nationally for all those taking the exam. Dean Philip Medon said the rate during that time period included nearly all of the current graduating class. "This is exciting news for our program, and clearly indicates we have not only great students but that our curriculum is sound and is also well taught by talented and dedicated faculty," Medon said. The news of the pass rates comes on the heels of the announcement in July that the School of Pharmacy was given full accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

Once again, Walgreens served as our presenting sponsor with Charter Business, CVS/pharmacy, Enloe Drugs, H.D. Smith, Newbold BMW and Shop 'n Save Pharmacy adding their sponsorship support. Thanks to all who joined us, and mark your calendars for next year's scramble on Friday, September 24, 2010.
