Lactation Room @ USC
About three years ago the GPSS Women's Concerns Committee, now the
Committee for Gender Equity (CGE) approached the university
administration with the request to open lactation rooms on campus that
can be accessible for both staff and student. USC has just opened the
first lactation room in the women's locker room of the Lyons Center at
UPC. The facility includes: a door with a latch, so no one can enter
unexpectedly, built in shelves for your pump and other belongs, hooks
for your clothes, a lamp, and a plug for your pump. Future locations
are currently under consideration. If you would like further
information, you can check out the website for the Center for Women
and Men (CWM), where they have a lactation room page with a phone
number to call: http://www.usc.edu/student -affairs/cwm/ .
