The Players of Wishing4One
Wishing4One: Me
Late thirty something, sometimes crazy. I remain hopeful that one day someone will call
me Mommy.
We have been TTC for about 12 years, been married for almost 13 years. Started ART (IVF)
in 2006 while here in Cairo.
Yes, I live in Cairo, Egypt. Why and how did you get there you ask?
It's a long story, may tell it someday, not as exciting as you may think actually.
(Super S was born in Cairo many, many, many years ago)
Short story is we retired a little earlier than we planned and we are lovin' it.
Super S: DH
My dear husband. This man is the pillar of patience, with me, and with everything really.
I thank God everday for him. He is now an expert at injections and should have been a doctor.
He loves guitar and plays a sick flamenco!
Florenzo: Our baby
This little man just popped into lives last year in May. He just showed up in our yard and has been here ever since.
We love him so much and he has brought us so much joy. He is spoiled rotten, he loves smoked turkey and soft pillows.
He has no clue we are trying to have a baby, lets see how he reacts when that baby comes, boy that was a positive
statement. (Type Florenzo into the search box at top left of my blog to see his handsome face.)
Fiona: Florenzos former girlfriend
Charlie, Naranja, Amelia and E.T.:
Kittens of Fiona and Florenzo.
Florenzo does not like them and has nothing to do with them what so ever.
They live in front garden with their mom Fiona while Florenzo stays in the backyard.
When he sees them, they all try to gang up on him he growls and leaves.
He also seems not to be interested in Fiona anymore either.
As of September 2008, Amelia left or someone took her, so we have just three babies now.
Dr. Polite: My main RE
Funny enough Super S went to school with him. Creepy, no its not.
He's cool and a very polite professional. He is the one who prescribes all my protocols,
measures my lining and does the woman things that need being done.
Dr. K. : Another RE
Another very cool, young hip doctor at the center where I do all of my fun surgeries as well as
egg retrievals and transfers. He is usually the one who shoots the embabies into place. I have his cellphone
and email, always available very cool.
The IVF Center: (not the real name, sounds good though)
A great establishment here in Cairo, Egypt. Very clean, sterile environment, technologically up to date
and comparable to Western standards. Thank God I found this place as its not always easy to find all of the above in one place here!
Super Nice Doctor Gal: My trustee injection girl. (Who by the way remembers me each time I go and thats ALOT of times.)
When DH isn't home I can go to my local pharmacy and get my injections. Most pharmacies offer this and its pretty cool.
They are usually open 24 hours and almost always have a female on staff which is an added bonus.
*** UPDATE*** she no longer works there, got married and moved away.
But Super S has mastered my injections so i'm good to go.
