Math

This week we started our next chapter on addition and subtraction. They have learned a lot so far and are doing great. One of our story problems this week was: Mrs. Kroesch has 14 pets. 3 are cats and the rest are dogs. How many are dogs? They all did great solving that problem. I’m very proud of them!

Religion

This week we talked about God and all of the wonderful things God created in our world. We finished our chapter and took the test this morning. The kids are doing great with it!

Language Arts/Science

This week we talked about pets and how we take care of them. The children have built a lot of words now and I have seen a huge improvement on reading. The stories that I send home each week, need to be re-read throughout the weeks to keep them up to date and remembering the words. If your child is struggling with the homework stories, they need to review them each and everyday to become the best readers they can be.

Like I said earlier this week, please make sure your child is writing a lot at home! They should know that all sentences start with a capital and end in a period, question mark or exclamation mark. This will help them in their writing process!

In science we continued with lady bugs! Thanks to Mrs. Zvonar, we got to see a praying mantis! The children were excited and that is all we have talked about today!
