The first part of the code refers to the post the button should link to, the
second is the file location for the button image itself. With credit to Mel for her fantastic how-to pages, here is the instructions for Blogger:
1. copy code above
2. login to your Blogger dashboard
3. go to layout
4. click "add a gadget"
5. choose "HTML/Javascript"
6. paste the code
7. save
8. move the icon anywhere on your sidebar by dragging the box to the correct space
9. hit "save blog" one more time if you move the icon
With credit to Cali via Mel and minor tinkering from me as I am on WP, too. The Wordpress version:
1) copy code above.
2) login to your Wordpress dashboard
3) go to the "Appearance" box, usually located near the bottom of the left sidebar.
4) go to the "Widgets" link and click on it.
5) Add a text widget to your side bar by dragging it across. You can also add the code in an existing text widget, if you already have one in your sidebar.
6) open text widget and paste code.
7) click "change" (next to "remove").
8) click "save changes".
If neither of these appear to work, you can manually add the button by uploading and saving a copy of the button file onto your own site, and then inserting it into your sidebar and hyperlinking it. If you're stuck, email me and I'll add more specific instructions.
