Applications for the scholarships listed below are available in the scholarship box in the Guidance Office.




CASIA (Conn. Alarm & Systems Integrators Asso.): Must be a child of a full-time employee of a Conn. Police or Fire Department. Deadline: Feb. 13th.


Conn. State University System/Pratt & Whitney: For students who plan to attend Central Conn. and have an interest in science or technology. Deadline: April 9th.


Conn. State University System/T. Clark Hull: For students who plan to attend Eastern Conn. State University and have a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Deadline: April 9th.


Conn. State University System/Ted Martocchio: For students who plan to attend any of the Conn. State Universities and have a parent who is a member of a Building and Trade Union. Deadline: April 9th.


Oncology Nursing Society: Students who plan to pursue a career in nursing. Deadline: April 23rd.


Humane Society: Students who have worked on behalf of animals.

Deadline: March 15th.


Local 2018 Custodians and Maintainers Union: No specific criteria.

Deadline: March 26th.


Ronald McDonald Charities: Several scholarships with various criteria. See application. Deadline: Feb. 9th.


Ct. PTA/Christa McAuliffe, First Teacher in Space: Students who plan a career in teaching. Deadline: Feb. 14th.


Yale New Haven Hospital Scholarship Program: Minority students who plan to major in nursing or an allied health program. Deadline: Feb. 12th.



Friendship Dairies: Students with a 3.0 GPA with community service.

Deadline: March 12th.


Conn. Association of Women Police: Students who plan to major in criminal justice. Deadline: April 23rd.


Sammy 2007: America’s Milk Processors and USA Today are sponsoring the Sammy 2007 awards for students who excel in academics and athletics and are involved in community service. Apply on-line by March 9th.


Conn. Nurserymen’s Foundation: Students who plan to major in landscaping or a related field. Deadline: March 12th.


UCONN Women’s Center: 100 Years of Women Scholarship for students who have demonstrated a commitment to women’s issues through community or school service. Deadline: Feb. 16th.


Asthma & Allergy Foundation: Students with asthma or significant allergies. Deadline: Feb. 12th.


Kline Family Community Service: Students who plan to attend UCONN and have performed community service. Deadline: April 13th.


National Federation of the Blind: Blind students. Deadline: March 26th.


National Council of Jewish Women: Jewish students with a “B” average. Deadline: June 1st.


Jim Rose Milford High School Memorial: One student from Foran HS and one student from Jonathan Law HS will be selected. Deadline: April 1st.


Briarpatch Enterprises: For students who plan to attend a Conn. State University or community college. Deadline: March 20th.


UNICO: Students of Italian descent. Deadline: Feb. 12th.


American Asso. Of Family & Consumer Sciences: Students who plan to major in Early Childhood Education, Culinary or a variety of other consumer science fields. Details are in the application. Deadline: March 5th.


Best Buy: Based on academic achievements and volunteer work. Apply on-line by Feb. 15th.







Elizabeth Carlson for the Performing Arts: Students who plan to major in the performing arts. Deadline: March 26th.


Central Conn. State University: For students who plan to attend Central Conn. and major in math, computer science or physics. Deadline: Feb. 16th.


Conn. Education Foundation: Minority students who plan to enter the teaching profession. Deadline: April 23rd.


Conn. Women’s Bowling Association: For students whose mother or grandmother are a member of the association. Deadline: March 5th.


New Haven County Retired Teachers Association: Students who plan a career in teaching. Deadline: March 15th.


Price Chopper: Several scholarships with various criteria. Apply on-line by March 1st.


USA Today All USA High School Academic Team: Nominated students will be selected based on academics and leadership. Deadline: Feb. 12th.


Nutmeg Statewide PTA: Students who plan a career in service to children, other than teaching. Deadline: March 19th.


Feile, Inc.: Essay required on an Irish individual who has made a significant contribution to society. Deadline: March 26th.


Conn. Association of Educational Office Professionals: Students who plan to pursue a career in business education, preferably as an educational secretary or administrative assistant. Deadline: Feb. 12th.


Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation: SAT scores required. Deadline: May 15th


Disabled Worker Committee: Child of a parent who was totally disabled in the workplace. Deadline: March 8th.


Glenn Moon Scholarship Fund: Students who plan a career in teaching. Deadline: March 26th.


Conn. Building Congress: Students who plan to major in architecture, engineering, construction management, etc. Deadline: Feb. 12th.





UCONN Waterbury: 5 different scholarships for students who plan to attend UCONN/Waterbury campus. Deadline: March 14th.


Westfield Corporation/Bruce Eagleson Memorial: Students who plan to major in visual or performing arts. Deadline: March 5th.


Milford Chamber of Commerce: 31 scholarships available. Some are for all fields of study, some specifically for business, medical related fields, science, engineering, and culinary. Others are specifically for a student attending the University of New Haven, or a college located in Connecticut. The Humanitarian Scholarship, as well as the two Golden Hands Scholarships, are geared especially to a student who plans to pursue a “hands on” skilled trade. Read the requirements of each scholarship carefully before applying. Deadline: April 9th.
