MESSAGE FROM RUBEN JAUREGUI
Hello people,
I just wanted to share with you that one of the things I did during my trip to Sacramento yesterday was attend a reception last evening hosted by the Latino Journal. Your dad and I are friends of the founder of that magazine and we were both on their Advisory Council. Several elected officials and corporate representatives were called to speak at the microphone as were a few representatives from various Latino organizations from around the state. One of those who was called was Ruben Guerra, the current President of the LBA, who was in attendance at tyour dad's rosary as well. He began his remarks by speaking about your dad and what a great man he was (and still is), how important he was to the LBA and to him personally as a great counselor and mentor, to latino business in general, to California and the country. Then he asked for a few moments of silence. You folks have been to many events and you know that to get anyone's attention when there's food and drink available is next to impossible. However in this case he was able to gain everyone's attention and the entire auditorium went completely silent in honor of your dad. It was beautiful and even through my sadness it made me feel very good and proud of your dad once again.
I thought you'd like to know this and also share it with your mom.
Love,
Ruben Jauregui
