Some words: Teens say of course they email - to communicate with old people. Teens and twenties are IMing. You may say we have the phone, we have email and we have forms on our website why do we need to IM? Well our foremothers said "we have letters, people can come in face to face, why do we need the phone." We KNOW how far sighted those thoughts were. We may already be a step or two behind adopting IM but if we learn it now and start using it we can catch up quickly . If we wait another year.....

1. Go to Meebo.
2. Click on sign up!
3. Click on Join.
4. Fill in the blanks! Create a meebo id and make up a password.
5. More fill in the blanks. Tell meebo a little about your self.
6. Add your IM accounts to meebo or create one or more IM accounts with meebo. Even if you don't have an AIM or a Yahoo or an MSN account you can create one right here and get into the world of IMing.
6. You can add as many accounts as you want by clicking add account for each account you want to add.
Then when you have added all your accounts click save and you are ready to IM.
7. Enter your the IM userid of the person you want to IM chat with.
8. Type your message in the bottom box. Your message and your buddy's response will appear in the top box.
1 point extra credit: include a smiley icon in your message to Sue or Vicky.
2 points extra credit: try out meebo rooms. Search for the library fun room and chat with librarians all over the world.
