WEEK #2: LESSON #2A:

JOIN THE BLOGOSPHERE 

 

Step 1: Go to wordpress.com 

 

(2 pts EXTRA CREDIT: If you want to go to another blog site like Blogger or or LiveJournal or Bloglines or MoveableType and you try it out; send Sue and email to let her know what blog software you uses.)

Step 2: Click on 'Start your Wordpress Blog'. 

 

 Step 3: Choose a username, enter your password and agree to the legal stuff. Click next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4: Choose your blog domain name. (It will default to your username.wordpress.com).
Choose your blog title.
Choose your blog language. 
If you want your blog to be indexed in the major search engines check the privacy box. (Weird I know)

 

 

Step 5:  Check your email to complete your registration.  An email has been sent to username@newingtonct.gov to activate your account. Check your inbox and click the link in the message. It should arrive within 30 minutes.

If you do not activate your account within two days, you will have to sign up again.

Step 6: Write down your username and password.

 

 

Step 7: Please send Sue S. or Vicky an email with your blog URL so we can put it on the Lucy's Librarians Learn Library2.0 blogroll.   A link to your blog will show on the training blog so others can find your blog and you can find others' blogs.
