Shabbat Message of
Dan 12:1-13 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. (2) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (3) And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. (4) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (5) Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. (6) And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? (7) And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that liveth forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. (8) And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Master, what shall be the end of these things? (9) And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. (10) Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. (11) And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. (12) Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. (13) But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Sardis - Walking Dead Men
Rev 3:1-6 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of YHWH, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. (2) Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before YHWH. (3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. (4) Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. (5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the assemblies.
Rev 3:1
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of YHWH, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
They were alive at some time ... but now they were walking dead men
They thought that they were alive, but were dead even in what they thought was life!
They were nominal Believers and living what appeared to be a believer's life to others, but YHWH, who looks on the hearts, saw that they were really spiritually dead.
1Ti 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of righteousness, but denying the power thereof...
Tit 1:16 They profess that they know YHWH; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
1Co 13:1-3 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. (2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. (3) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Eph 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Messiah shall give thee light.
Rev 3:2
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before Elohim.
"Be watchful" Lit: “Become,” (fulfil) what you aren't, “watchful” literally: “awake” (YHWSHUA is telling them to "Wake Up")
They needed to be resuscitated!
I have not found thy works perfect - Complete, filled up to the standard YHWH requires. Lit: "I have found no works of yours perfect before My Elohim!"
Dan 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
Strengthen what virtues remain as true believers before they are totally swallowed up in the masquerade that has been going on for so long.
Rev 3:3
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Receive - perfect tense: thou hast received the truth as a permanent thing. It remains with us whether we pay attention to it or not.
1Th 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Master YHWSHUA, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please YHWH, so ye would abound more and more.
Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Messiah YHWSHUA the Master, so walk ye in him:
Heard - aorist tense - the act of merely hearing when it took place. (outer ears but not ears of the Spirit)
Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
They needed to get back to the first things again. (return to first love)
To remember the teaching formerly received, cling to it, and repent of the falling away from it.
Hear
Receive
Hold Fast
Repent
Be watchful. Be aware. Wake up!!
1Pe 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (9) Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Pe 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Luk 12:45-46 But and if that servant say in his heart, My Master delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; (46) The Master of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
"Come as a thief" Suddenly; in a sudden judgment.
Mat 24:37-44 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, (39) And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (40) Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (41) Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (42) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Master doth come. (43) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. (44) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
1Th 5:2-6 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of YHWH so cometh as a thief in the night. (3) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (4) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. (6) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of YHWH will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Mat 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Rev 3:4-5
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Though the assembly as a whole is condemned, there were a few true believers who were commended. These few were not defiled by sin.
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Zec 3:3-5 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. (4) And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. (5) And I said, Let them set a fair miter upon his head. So they set a fair miter upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of YHWH stood by.
Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
White Raiment - Symbol of purity and righteousness
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:13-14 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? (14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Symbols of our spiritual bodies (Resurrection)
2Co 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of YHWH, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2Co 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
The Book of Life - those who have become heirs of YHWH (Manifested Sons of YHWH)
Exo 32:32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
Psa 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Luk 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Php 4:3 And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.
Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Our name can be blotted OUT of the Book of Life!!
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before YHWH; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Notice that The Book is in YHWSHUA’s hands. People named in the book of life are known by name by YHWSHUA as HIS Diisciples. Are WE in YHWSHUA's hands today? (Doing HIS will and speaking HIS words?)
Confess his name
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
We often think of confession as a negative thing, but there is a positive aspect as well!
Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Luk 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of YHWH:
Rev 3:6
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Like the assembly at Ephesus, which had lost its first love, the Sardian assembly which had "a name to live and was dead," has had its lampstand removed for many centuries. Will we too gamble to live as they did any longer?
