Keeping Joy

This past Sabbath we were blessed with a message entitled "Keep Your Joy".  We learned how in the face of any circumstances that come our way, there IS a way to keep your joy in YHWH.

I thought about this passage:

Psa 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

We have been shewn the path of life! HalleluYAH!   Yahushua our Master is the Way, Truth and Life, and HE walked in the way of life.  Going on in that verse,

In Yah's presence there is fulness of joy, at HIS right hand are pleasures for evermore.  Again, beautiful profound truth. 

During the message we also were presented with a question.

Do we believe YHWH's Spirit is within, and do we believe Yah's Spirit within?  

YHWH does not lie, HIS Word is truth.  Why then are we so often lacking in joy? How often do we really identify with YHWH's Spirit within? 

I came to realize, that my joy is in identifying with YHWH.  I know I am the temple of YHWH and that HE promised to never leave or forsake me!  That's the beautiful promise of HIS Spirit within us!

I also came to realize that when I am sorrowed, that the "sorrow" is anything and everything that I choose to plant between HIM and myself.  As though if could could picture living streams of water that are to pass though me.........I was putting up dam's!  All those things I chose to meditate on to keep me sorrowed are the dams.  And, only Living Waters can wash those dam's away.

On Sabbath eve as I was continuing to meditate on the message, I jotted something down.  Little did I know we would experience it in the flesh! 
I could not share this devotion with you all because we had lost our electricity.  

What I jotted down was  "Spiritual power failures!"

When we choose not to identify with our "source of power", YHWH's Spirit within, we end up experiencing "power" failure.  Yes we stop operating in YHWH.  Through HIS Spirit dwelling in us, we have been given power over all the power of the enemy.  But when we choose as it were to 'disconnect' for a time from the "Source of Power' within us, we are the ones giving the enemy free roam to fill our minds with all sorts of depressing things.  All sorts of things that all combined, rob of of joy, take us as it were, out of the presence of YHWH.  For in HIS presence is joy forevermore.  

I also smiled when I thought about power surges.  If we were to get through through our electric lines, things could happen like, our computer blowing up!  But when we are in Yah's presence, we can experience awesome power surges!  I know how often during praise and worship, those surges flood my heart! HalleluYAH!! Those are the most awesome surges to experience, and those "surges" keep us charged as well.   Praise YHWH! 

The more time we spend before YHWH in praise the more we are identifying with HIS indwelling presence.  Isn't it silly that any of us would choose to put up dam's and sit mulling over things that take us from this place of beauty?   May each of us spend more and more time "connecting" to our Source of joy and peace!  The fruit of the Spirit of Yah floods our hearts, and we walk filled with the knowledge of His presence!  May we all walk in the fullness of those gifts!  Those gifts are HIS Spirit in action within us!  

May the joy of YHWH be with you, and may HIS joy be your strength!

Neh 8:10  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto YHWH: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of YHWH is your strength.
