The Unconditional Love of YHWH 9-23-08

Shabbat Message of

Torah Reading:  Mal 1:1-14

1) The burden of the word of YHWH to Yisra'El by Malachi.  2) I have loved you, saith YHWH. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith YHWH: yet I loved Jacob, 3) And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.  4) Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith YHWH of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom YHWH hath indignation for ever.  5) And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, YHWH will be magnified from the border of Yisra'El.  6) A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith YHWH of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?  7) Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of YHWH is  contemptible.  8) And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith YHWH of hosts.  9) And now, I pray you, beseech Elohim that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith YHWH of hosts.   10) Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought ? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith YHWH of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.  11) For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be  offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith YHWH of hosts.  12) But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of YHWH is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.  13) Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it ! and ye have snuffed at it, saith YHWH of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith YHWH.  14) But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Master a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith YHWH of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

The Unconditional Love of YHWH

Today's Question:

YHWH's love. Is it or is it not unconditional? Do we even know what that is or what love through His eyes even is? We are to have His love for one another and yet know so little about it except what it is to receive His love...if that makes sense.

Some say His love is not unconditional and yet He seems to love us no matter what we do. Even if we reject Him. He can not lower His standards, can not bear sin and will not accept those that love unrighteousness but somehow I tend to think He still loves that creation, to the end, whatever end we have chosen for ourselves. I say this because He is always ready to accept our repentance. I think maybe some confuse unconditional with acceptance. In the world, it is taught to accept everyone no matter what yet turning a blind eye is not loving.

Mal 1:2 "I have loved you," said YHWH. "But you asked, In what way have You loved us? "Was not Ěsaw Ya'aqobs brother?" declares YHWH. "And I love Ya'aqob,

Mal 1:3 but I have hated Ěsaw, and have laid waste his mountains and his inheritance for the jackals of the wilderness."

I have always wondered about this scripture where it says YHWH hated Esaw. Did He really hate him or was it his sin and that he would not turn from it? I try to understand the allegory in this.

...This is something I think about and I do think many do not really understand what real love (YHWH's love is) Some say we can not know until we are manifested. Some say it is nothing more than being kind as you want kindness.

Well, thank you for your consideration of this. I would have loved to have come up with something really profound and deep to ask about but His love to me is so awesome and overwhelming for it is full of grace, joy, forgiveness and so much more that for me, this is a deep thought to consider.

1Jn 4:7-12  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of YHWH; and every one that loveth is born of YHWH, and knoweth YHWH.  (8)  He that loveth not knoweth not YHWH; for YHWH is love.  (9)  In this was manifested the love of YHWH toward us, because that YHWH sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  (10)  Herein is love, not that we loved YHWH, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  (11)  Beloved, if YHWH so loved us, we ought also to love one another.  (12)  No man hath seen YHWH at any time. If we love one another, YHWH dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Rom 8:35-39  Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  (36)  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  (37)  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  (38)  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  (39)  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of YHWH, which is in Messiah YHWSHUA our Master.

Did YHWH Hate Esau?

Mal 1:2  I have loved you, saith YHWH. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith YHWH: yet I loved Jacob,

Mal 1:3  And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

Rom 9:4-14  Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of YHWH, and the promises;  (5)  Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Messiah came, who is over all, YHWH blessed forever. Amen.  (6)  Not as though the word of YHWH hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:  (7)  Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.  (8)  That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of YHWH: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.  (9)  For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.  (10)  And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;  (11)  (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of YHWH according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)  (12)  It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.  (13)  As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.  (14)  What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with YHWH?  YHWHforbid.

YHWSHUA... Hate Father and Mother...

Luk 14:25-27  And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,  (26)  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  (27)  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

YHWH Loved Us So Much that HE made US in HIS Image

Gen 1:26-28  And Elohim said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  (27)  So Elohim created man in his own image, in the image of Elohim created he him; male and female created he them.  (28)  And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Gen 5:1-2  This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that Elohim created man, in the likeness of Elohim made he him;  (2)  Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Gen 9:6  Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of Elohim made he man.

Psa 8:4-6  What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?  (5)  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.  (6)  Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

Act 17:28-29  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.  (29)  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of YHWH, we ought not to think that the Fullness of YHWH is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

2Co 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of YHWH, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of YHWH.

Eph 4:23-24  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  (24)  And that ye put on the new man, which after YHWH is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Jn 10:32-36 YHWSHUA answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself YHWH.

34 YHWSHUA answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are elohim?

35 If he called them elohim, unto whom the word of YHWH came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of YHWH?"

Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are elohim; and all of you are children of the most High. "

YHHW Loves HIS Body!

Eph 5:29-30  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as The Master the Assembly:  (30)  For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. (Jn 17 - One with YHWH even as YHWSHUA is One with HIM!)

Romans 8:14-17 Because those who are led by the Spirit of YHWH are sons of YHWH. 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father' 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are YHWH's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of YHWH and co-heirs with Messiah, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Freewill to choose and create!

Gen 17:1  And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, YHWH appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty Elohim; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Jos 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve YHWH, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the elohim which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the elohim of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve YHWH.

Num 15:3  And will make an offering by fire unto YHWH, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto YHWH, of the herd, or of the flock:

Ezr 3:5  And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of YHWH that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto YHWH.

Psa 119:108  Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O YHWH, and teach me thy judgments.

Our Learning Experience here on this earth is to learn how to choose correctly. How to be responsible as part YHWH. How to experience YHWH fully at work in our lives.

YHWH will never change...

Mal 3:6  For I YHWH, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Num 23:19  Elohim is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

1Sa 15:29  And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.

Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for YHWH to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Jas 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

So we must change to reflect our true nature (HIM)

Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2Co 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of YHWH, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of YHWH.

Eph 4:24  And that ye put on the new man, which after YHWH is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of YHWH, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Col 3:10-17  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  (11)  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Messiah is all, and in all.  (12)  Put on therefore, as the elect of YHWH, set apart and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  (13)  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Messiah forgave you, so also do ye.  (14)  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  (15)  And let the peace of YHWH rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  (16)  Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to YHWH.  (17)  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of The Master YHWSHUA, giving thanks to YHWH and the Father by him.

In Order to understand the love of YHWH... we, too, need to love others the same way!

1Jn 4:7-13  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of YHWH; and every one that loveth is born of YHWH, and knoweth YHWH. (13)  Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

1Jn 4:16-21  And we have known and believed the love that YHWH hath to us. YHWH is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in YHWH, and YHWH in him.  (17)  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.  (18)  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  (19)  We love him, because he first loved us.  (20)  If a man say, I love YHWH, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love YHWH whom he hath not seen?  (21)  And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth YHWH love his brother also.

1Jn 2:9-10  He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.  (10)  He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

1Jn 3:10-24  In this the children of YHWH are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of YHWH, neither he that loveth not his brother.  (11)  For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.  (12)  Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.  (13)  Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.  (14)  We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.  (15)  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.  (16)  Hereby perceive we the love of YHWH, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  (17)  But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of YHWH in him?  (18)  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.  (19)  And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.  (20)  For if our heart condemn us, YHWH is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.  (21)  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward YHWH.  (22)  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.  (23)  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son YHWSHUA Messiah, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.  (24)  And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
