Shalom

Shalom-Peace

Eph 2:13 But now in Moshiach Yahushua ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Moshiach.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

It's so easy to say "shalom" to our family members in passing. To greet them shalom instead of hello or goodbye.  But what is shalom?

Do we really have shalom? Do we really think about that word "shalom" as we say it to one another?  When I think back to the Garden of Eden, I believe peace truly existed there before the fall.  Real shalom!   Perfect love and harmony with man and YHWH, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Scriptures say that Yahushua is our peace.   So are we at peace in HIM in all things?

2 Cor 5:18 And all things are of Elohim, who hath reconciled us to himself by Yahushua Moshiach, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that Elohim was in Moshiach, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Moshiach, as though Elohim did beseech you by us: we pray you in Moshiach’s stead, be ye reconciled to Elohim.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of Elohim in him.

We have all been given, through YHWH, who reconciled us to Himself by Yahushua a gift of ministry. 

The ministry of reconciliation.  That in plain English means, through Yahushua we have been brought to a place of divine favor with YHWH, just like Adam and Chawah had in the garden!  HalleluYAH!  A place of perfect peace, perfect shalom.  

So if we have been given the ministry of reconciliation what  ought we all to be doing as Ambassadors for Yahushua?   Do we represent Yahushua this way? Reaching out to not just brothers and sisters, but to the world with the ministry of reconciliation?   Oftentimes sadly, many think they've been given a 'ministry of judgment'.  We ought to be praying for all those who do not yet know YHWH, that they be reconciled to YHWH!   That they too could be made the righteousness of YHWH in Yahushua.

Where do we base our peace upon?   If our peace depends upon others agreeing with us or understanding the limits of language in expressing what we believe or know, then perhaps we may need to re-examine the source of our peace.  Yahushua is to be the source of our peace.   We often tend to  base "our" peace on "us"!  No wonder then so many do not know or have the peace that passes understanding.  Could it be we try make "our" peace be that of "our" understanding?  Oh may we come to know and represent true peace, that through Yahushua!

2Jo 1:3  Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from Elohim the Father, and from the Master Yahushua ha Moshiach, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
