Grace, mercy and peace to you, from YHWH our Master.

Today as I sought YHWH what to share, I felt an overwhelming feeling of discouragement, and I feel led by YHWH that it is a heavy discouragement from some of the readers of this devotion.  This is what YHWH gave me to share with you.

From the Contemporary English Version:

Psa 42:5 Why am I discouraged? Why am I restless? I trust you! And I will praise you again because you help me,
Psa 42:6 and you are my Elohim. I am deeply discouraged as I think about you from where the
Jordan begins at Mount Hermon and from Mount Mizar.
Psa 42:7 Your vicious waves have swept over me like an angry ocean or a roaring waterfall.
Psa 42:8 Every day, you are kind, and at night you give me a song as my prayer to you, the living YHWH Elohim
Psa 42:9 You are my mighty rock. Why have you forgotten me? Why must enemies mistreat me and make me sad?
Psa 42:10 Even my bones are in pain, while all day long my enemies sneer and ask, "Where is your Elohim?"
Psa 42:11 Why am I discouraged? Why am I restless? I trust you! And I will praise you again because you help me, and you are my Elohim
.

Sometimes we don't know the answer as to WHY we feel discouraged, but we end up focusing on the sorrow, rather than the Lifter of sorrows.  In this Psalm we see David, openly sharing a time in his life where he was greatly depressed.  He feels far from YHWH, yet HE feels YHWH's kindness and shares how each night he receives words from YHWH to sing yet another song to YHWH, the Living Elohim.  He switched from his own feelings..to the truth, that YHWH is the Living Elohim, that his trust is in YHWH alone, and then..closes by stating he will praise YHWH again, for HE helped him, HE is his Elohim.  David is well known for all the Psalms he penned to YHWH.  David teaches us a lesson through this Psalm.  It's no shame to voice your sorrow and discouragement with YHWH.  HE wants us to reach out to HIM.  It is only when we do so, when we cry out to our Rock and Redeemer, that HE can help us.  See, David cast his burdens on YHWH, and in return, the peace, the shalom of YHWH filled David again.  That praise, stilled the enemy, the avenger.

Words of comfort from YHWH:

Rom 8:28 We know that YHWH is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him. They are the ones YHWH has chosen for his purpose,

Though we might not see clearly , YHWH is busy working things for our good, we are HIS chosen and HE does have our best interests at heart.  The longer we carry our sorrow and in do doing praise the enemy while we extol his power...the harder our load is to carry.  The fastest way to regain joy is only through the praise of YHWH!  Extol HIM, trust HIM, know regardless of what things look like, HE is at work for our good, once we surrender to HIM all of our life. So much so that:

Isa 30:18 YHWH Elohim is waiting to show how kind he is and to have pity on you. YHWH always does right; he blesses those who trust him.
Isa 30:19 People of Jerusalem, you don't need to cry anymore. YHWH is kind, and as soon as he hears your cries for help, he will come.
Isa 30:20 YHWH has given you trouble and sorrow as your food and drink. But now you will again see YHWH, your teacher, and he will guide you.
Isa 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice saying, "This is the road! Now follow it."

All praise to HIS Name!  We might stop weeping and be encouraged that HE hears us, and as we depend on HIM as our teacher and guide, we will hear HIM show us the way to go!   We must remember not only to cry out, don't ever think that anything is too trivial for HIM either!  Give each and every burden and distress to HIM, confess that we were wrong trying to be our own elohim, trying to fix things, trying to find our own way out, and failing to treat HIM as our Abba Father!  Daddy's love to hear their little ones place their trust in them, look upon them with those little trusting eyes, believing that Daddy can fix it all.  So much more does our Abba desire for us to run into His out streched waiting arms.  HE alone can fix it!  Why wait another day?

Psa 91:14 YHWH says, "If you love me and truly know who I am, I will rescue you and keep you safe.
Psa 91:15 When you are in trouble, call out to me. I will answer and be there to protect and honor you.

What a promise!  Believe it, its our inheritance, our Word of promise from YHWH! Praise HIM again today, for words of encouragment and hope, a way out! Do we love HIM enough to believe HIM?  There is one key though, the part that we do need to do.  We need to have faith!  Remember Yah's promise to Abraham:

Rom 4:13 YHWH promised Abraham and his descendants that he would give them the world. This promise wasn't made because Abraham had obeyed a law, but because his faith in Elohim made him acceptable.
Rom
4:14 If Abraham and his descendants were given this promise because they had obeyed a law, then faith would mean nothing, and the promise would be worthless.

Join me in prayer?

Father YHWH, today we confess our weakness before YOU, our inability to handle our own lives,  our sorrow is before us. Yet YHWH YOU know our pain, YOU also will turn this for YOUR good for YOU love me.  I praise YOU for YOU never change! I ask YOU to forgive my lack of faith, for placing my belief in the one who seeks to destroy me, above YOUR Word.  YHWH, I thank YOU that YOU have given me faith, YOU have given me a song in my heart, a song of praise and victory and deliverance through Yahushua!   Thank YOU for showing me YOUR love again, YOUR hand of protection, YOUR wisdom is much higher than mine, and my ways have failed me.  Teach me to follow YOU alone YHWH, I thank YOU that I am victorious, not because of what I have done, but because my faith lies in YOU!  By faith I accept YOUR Word and acknowledge that I am more than a conqueror through Yahushua!  Thank YOU YHWH we praise you through Yahushua!  HalleluYAH and Amein!
