He asked if I would follow Him along the narrow road, 

He asked if I would trust in Him in all that I was told. 

 

He asked if I would yield to Him in all that was of me, 

He asked if I would love Him and all He made to be. 

 

I followed Him with all I had so hungry from the heart, 

I followed Him with my free will in deed and in my thought. 

 

I followed Him though my flesh burned to go on its own way, 

I followed Him in His strength whose power lit the way. 

 

Each day I hear Him ask within whom will I serve today, 

Each day I know I answer Him through all I do and say. 

 

Each moment is a choice lived for self or Abba Yah, 

This moment will I give to You my all sweet Abba Yah.
