This is the day YHWH made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  This Psalm is very short, as we read it, lets do so out loud, hearing ourselves confess this before YHWH.

Psa 131:1 YHWH, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Psa 131:2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Psa 131:3 Let Israel hope in YHWH from henceforth and for ever.

HalleluYAH!  If we have not "behaved" as the Psalmist wrote, we know how to return to get back in that place!  YHWH's mercies are renewed every day!  Where have our thoughts been?  What "studies" are we involved in? Is there someone who has been "getting" to us? Are our thoughts occupied with matters that are not quiet and peaceful? What a beautiful yet gentle reminder of our place this short Psalm is.  As a mother who has nursed six children, I relate to a contented child.  That peace, that place of security and love.  I recall Yahushua using a child as an example, telling us, unless we become like those little ones, we cannot enter the reign of YHWH.   YHWH is our Abba Father.  We are never to "grown up" to need the comfort of our Father.  Are we calm and comforted before HIM?  Have we learned to totally trust HIM?

Isa 30:15(a) For thus saith the Master YHWH , the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength...

Praise YHWH for His Word, for "food" to meditate on during our "work" week.  As we go about fulfilling the six days we are to labor, let us remember to do so, in quietness and confidence,  in simple childlike faith in our Abba, to carry us through. To answer us when we call, to lead and guide us in all Truth, and to keep away from situations that would have us involved in great matters or things too high for us.  Learn to back down, to give "it" to YHWH, and just as a little child trusts that "my daddy will work it out" so let us trust our Father to give us His shalom, and in so doing, give us quietness and confidence.

Have a blessed remainder of this week in HIM!
