Just “Do It”

Joh 2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

Six life changing words.  Whatever HE says to you... DO !!

 

Ever find yourself as confused as I get listening to the countless interpretations of Scripture?  Miriam, the mother of  Yahushua made it so very simple.   Whatever HE says to you, DO.

 

Yahushua told us the same thing:

 

Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Joh 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his master doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

 

We make huge mountains out of simple instructions.  I paused to think about Noah. There was no rain at all.  He receives instruction to build an ark.  We didn't get instructions that far out, we receive in love, an admonishment that if we are friends of Yah, we will do whatever is commanded to us.

This is what Noah did.

 

Gen 6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that Elohim commanded him, so did he.

 

Looking at Simon, a man who was a fisherman by profession.  He is told to do something that someone of his knowledge would not have done.  Certainly he knew fish, and yet:

 

Luk 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

 

Do we truly desire to live in eternity with YHWH? To rule and reign with Him?  But...what about all these law that I need to keep?  Do I really have to?  How about this question, is there a reason I wouldn't want to?

 

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

 

Our Deliverer was made perfect, and HE being the author and finisher of our faith, HE alone is the author of eternal salvation.  You know the expression, "he wrote the book on it"?  Think about this,  for our names to be found in The Lambs book of life, we must be one of those who will follow this instruction that Miriam gave so long ago.
