Peace in the Midst of the Storm

Psa 121:1-8 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. (2) My help cometh from YHWH, which made heaven and earth. (3) He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. (4) Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. (5) YHWH is thy keeper: YHWH is thy shade upon thy right hand. (6) The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. (7) YHWH shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. (8) YHWH shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Peace in the Midst of the Storm

Mar 4:35-41 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. (36) And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. (37) And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. (38) And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? (39) And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. (40) And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? (41) And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

How many cry out in a storm like David...

Psa 55:1-8 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David. Give ear to my prayer, O Elohim; and hide not thyself from my supplication. (2) Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise; (3) Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me. (4) My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. (5) Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. (6) And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. (7) Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah. (8) I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

But David didn't leave it there!

Psa 55:18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

Psa 55:22 Cast thy burden upon YHWH, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

"All happy people are grateful. Ungrateful people cannot be happy. We tend to think that being unhappy leads people to complain, but it s truer to say that complaining leads to people becoming unhappy." - Dennis Prager

Luk 8:22-25 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. (23) But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. (24) And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. (25) And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

If we want True Peace we have to have Faith

True peace alludes us because we have little or no faith!

(40) And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

Faith that YHWH is.. and that HE is working in us!

Heb 11:1-6 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (2) For by it the elders obtained a good report. (3) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of YHWH, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (4) By faith Abel offered unto YHWH a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, YHWH testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. (5) By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because YHWH had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased YHWH. (6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to YHWH must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we YHWH without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of YHWH which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of YHWH, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Php 2:13 For it is YHWH which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of YHWSHUA Messiah:

The power lies within US! Just as it did within YHWSHUA...

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Rom 8:16-18 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of YHWH: (17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of YHWH, and joint-heirs with Messiah; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Literally Share my power with you!)

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of YHWH, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

There is a Place to Escape these storms of life!

Isa 4:6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Psa 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Psa 91:1-3 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (2) I will say of YHWH, He is my refuge and my fortress: my Elohim; in him will I trust. (3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Pro 18:10 The name of YHWH is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Where is this strong tower? Is it a physical place? No, of course not.. it is the tabernacle of YHWH within our very souls!

1Co 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of YHWH, and that the Spirit of YHWH dwelleth in you? (17) If any man defile the temple of YHWH, him shall YHWH destroy; for the temple of YHWH is holy, which temple ye are.

1Co 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Set Apart Spirit which is in you, which ye have of YHWH, and ye are not your own? (20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify YHWH in your body, and in your spirit, which are YHWH's.

Heb 6:17-20 Wherein YHWH, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: (18) That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for YHWH to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: (19) Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; (20) Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even YHWSHUA, made a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

2Co 3:14-16 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Messiah. (15) But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. (16) Nevertheless when it shall turn to YHWH, the veil shall be taken away.

Luk 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of YHWH should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of YHWH cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of YHWH is within you.

Promises in the Midst of the Storm

Begin to rebuke the storms in your life and they will... as that day on the lake... disappear

Psa 107:28-30 Then they cry unto YHWH in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. (29) He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. (30) Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Isa 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

What would you do/believe if you knew that NOTHING was Impossible????
