Introduction Scene: The scene of the diamond miners unearthing not only ore and stones, but also a sword, the Ice Sword to be exact.
[Title Sequence]
The team meet up with Tubby, where he has chased Padley up a telephone pole. "Will someone please call off that killer panda so I can get down?"
Hong Mao: Listen, Padley, we need your piloting skills, and I'm sure that Tubby would pay you enough...
Tubby: [Growls]
Hong Mao: To pay off all those loans you have from whoever's chasing you.
At this moment one of the truckers runs towards Padley.
Jake: Padley, did you see that? The bear woke and then beat the shit out of Eric! You've lost, boss, sorry...
Tubby: Bumpy's hangovers tend to be awful, all right.
Padley: [gulps]
Johnny: Well, it's look like you've been made an offer you can't refuse.
Padley: All right, all right. Just pull him away so I can get down, all right?
Cut back over to Lan Tu and Susan driving back to the rest of the gang, where they chat girl talk with each other. Discuss boyfriends, talk about life in their world. If Susan mentions what happened to her village and her amnesia between the loss of her home and when Johnny swept him off her feet, Lan Tu would say that she'll help her.
[A partial Dialogue]
Lan Tu: {Looks at Susan wearing just a black sports bra, and shorts under panty hose with boots.} Aren't you cold in that? You haven't had one of Violet's Cold Resistance Pills Either.
Susan: {Shrugs} Nah. I'm used to the cold. My home was at Wisconsin, and it's usually like this from Fall to Spring.
Lan Tu: I see. Have you been seeing them lately.
Susan: {sighs, almost sobs} My home was destroyed by a snowstorm. I'm the only survivor. All that's left of home is my "Bag of Surprises" I keep with me.
Lan Tu: {gasps} I'm sorry to hear that.
Susan: {Her head still down} I don't know what happened. Doctors said that I'm blocking them out, but when Johnny found me he felt a good size bump on my head. Either way, I can't remember. I've been with Johnny ever since. {Looks up} He's been with me through a lot, especially when I have nightmares about the whole thing.
Lan Tu: {Smiles and nods} I'm happy to hear that. You two seem to be close.
Susan: {Nods} Kinda makes me not surprised about Sally and Violet planning a wedding. {chuckles} By the way, how are you with Hong Mao?
Jumpy, on the other hand, looks around before taking some pills out of his pocket, which he goes forward and feeds Duke's dogs with. After eating them, the dogs turn green in the face and bolt away.
Jumpy: Oooh, I'd hate to see that pile.
Back in the car with Lan Tu and Susan, a fireball comes hurtling right for Lan Tu's head. Susan knocks her out of the way before it explodes a tree she was standing in, and the two get up to see Mazekat, the peasant rat from Sigurd's longboat. None of the three would know who she is, especially Susan.
Susan: Who in the blue hell are you?
Mazekat: Fascinating. You don't remember me, Susan Traveller. So you _are_ amnesiac, eh, Susan Traveller?
(Susan and Lan Tu gasp!)
Susan: How'd you know my name?
Mazekat: (Eyes Susan hard.) Hmmm, you must _really_ be amnesiac. No wonder I haven't heard from you in some time.
Susan: I don't know where you came from, I don't even know who you are, but I do know you're leaving. {She pulls out a staff from her bag, much longer than it should be holding} Need anything, Blue?
Lan Tu: {Whips out a long ribbon-like sash with one hand, which unfurls out to one side, and then slips around Lan Tu in place just like in her Shrine Maiden outfit} I'm already packing.
Mazekat: Much that I'd love to stay and piece together your missing memories, Susie...
Susan growls. (She hates bring called that)
Mazekat: ...I've got a sword to catch. (She leaps and flies through the air, toward the building.)
Lan Tu: She's going to Jumpy.
Susan: And she's damaged the car, we've got to go back.
The two start running.
Jumpy has crept into the warehouse through a window. Then he sees that at the back of the warehouse there is a small office in which Duke is working. He creeps over and opens the office door.
He opens the door, and Duke turns around, shocked.
Duke: You again, Monkeyboy? The dogs didn't get you?
Jumpy: They're off taking a dump. I know you have the Sword somewhere, Duke, and you better tell me where it is, because you're in danger...
Jumpy is blown through a window into the outside and Mazekat stands on the smouldering windowsill.
He brushes off some of the soot: "Your chi is strong, young lady."
"The name's Mazekat, monkey," the rat says, "And if you's please, could cut the Martial Arts mumbo jumbo and tell me where that Ice Sword is at? My master needs it."
Duke: Why does news travel so fast?
Jumpy: No idea, but go somewhere safe, hurry!
Jumpy and Mazekat start to fight. Jumpy is stronger, but Mazekat is faster.
Duke sees the fight and then blows on his whistle.
Immediately the huskies burst into the warehouse and run to Jumpy, attacking him and yapping at his clothes. Mazekat is fighting them off herself.
Duke: Make them take a dump, will you? I hate to say, but if you can't be civil, that's the only way!
Jumpy: They...are...attacking...the wrong person! You don't understand!
At that point Susan and Lan Tu enter. Susan drop kicks Mazekat right on her back.
Susan: He and his friends need it more, Mazekat. We can't let you have it!
Lan Tu does a graceful spinning hover toward Susan and Jumpy, while hitting the huskies left and right with her scarf, which in her hands is as effective as a long whip. The huskies leave Jumpy.
Mazekat: {Growls} Master told me they'd be days like this.
Duke has finally gotten to his dogs, but when he gets there they all turn to him, Mazekat somehow has gotten control over the dogs and began to charge the threesome, only to become a five some when Hong Mao and Johnny Briz leapt into the fray, knocking out a giant dog each.
Mazekat: Well well well, about time you two showed up. I thought you two were chasing each other like the natural enemies you're supposed to be, Cat and Mouse.
Johnny: Oh, cats I don't mind, it's these darn giant dogs. (Roundhouse kicks one who got too close) They're agressive as all get out, think they own the room once they enter it, and . . . {He sniffs the air} . . . what's that I smell. Everyone! Check your shoes, you might have stepped in it.
Hong Mao: Did you have to remind me?
Another dog comes near Hong Mao and he beans it with another kick.
Duke fights off one or two of his former pets rather clumsily and then finally rushes out of the warehouse.
Mazekat smiles as she realizes this.
Mazekat: Don't you ever miss the forest for the trees.
Then she takes off after blasting a whole in the roof.
Johnny sees Susan huddled on her knees with her sobbing head in her hands. Lan Tu joins him.
When asked about what's causing her to freak, Susan says that she remembers something about her. That she was somewhere with her, and someone she calls her master.
Cut to Hong Mao and Jumpy, as they investigate the office in the warehouse, and they find the note about the ice sword being found in the Snap Lake Diamond Mine. Hong Mao would say that's the next stop.
Cut back to Johnny who's asking Susan if it's a memory that jogged loose:
Susan: I... I don't want to hurt you.
Johnny: It's all right, love.
Lan Tu moved closer to, as Susan looked up to Johnny's eyes.
Susan:
M-Mazecat. She claimed I was with her. I... Remember her and some
human. He was trying to teach me something. That, that was before I met you...
Johnny: Oh my dear . . . . <hugs Susan> I think all this has been very stressful for you, you need to take a break.
Lan Tu: How did you meet?
Johnny then tells Lan Tu his version of Susan's story: That he found her one day after some long-distance dates unconscious and with no memory over how she got here after the destruction of her village. "I was hoping that she'd get her memory back on her own, just as the doctors say. But either or, she was settled into her new life as my significant other by the time you all showed up."
Lan Tu states that maybe her shrine can help her out, her selflessness kicking in. Johnny agrees, and eventually Susan who's calmed down enough to apologize. After a reassuring word from Lan Tu, they all join the rest of the gang.
Red: We do not have any time to lose. Let's go.
The gang bolts out of the warehouse and heads toward the Ice Road. Short Cut to Padley showing a tinge of fear.
Meanwhile, nearby, an Arctic Fox in a jacket and long pants is looking at the gang through a pair of binoculars. She gets on her snowmobile nearby and immediately heads after the gang.
