Dear Google,

I am writing this letter to request the new IMAP feature added to my account (NickStarr@Gmail.com). I have been using Gmail longer then most users who already have this great feature added to their account. I got my Gmail invite weeks after the launch of the service, and have used it on a daily basis ever since for all of my email needs. I am an iPhone user as well, and since recently my laptop and all of my other belongings have been stolen when I moved to the bay area, email on my iPhone has become my primary source of communication. Being able to have my email marked as read when I am able to make it to a computer, would help me save so much time.

When Google Talk as a built in feature of Gmail was rolled out I was one of the last people I knew to get this feature enabled in my account. I assumed it was because you went from newest accounts to oldest. I hope you don’t follow the same practice for rolling out IMAP.

Thank you for offering this service, and Gmail for free, I would just like to have my account activated with this new feature sooner rather then later.

Sincerely,

Nick Starr
