C3R = slip 3 stitches on cable needle hold in back of work, knit 3 stitches from left needle, knit 3 stitches off the cable needle

Note you can increase or decrease the hat in multiples of 11, keep in mind with an even number of cables the cables will always twist opposite of each other. if you add or remove only 9 stitches two matching cables will be next to each other
using circular needle Cast on 88 stitches, join, being careful not to twist stitches, place marker
