Pitts Family Gathering dated cir 1940's - I assume this is the house at Big Cabin, Craig Co., OK. This photo is a bit more difficult to explain who is who because there are so many individuals and its not very clear. I can't even spot Grandma Martha out. Is she sitting in the rocking chair or standing? Does anyone recognize Alexander? If not, then this photo was taken after 1944 (this is when he died).

I was told Albert Pitts is standing at the extreme right. Vernon Clagett is kneeling/sitting, center, left, Reba Eileen ( Jackson) Clagett, wife of Vernon is in the shadow of the porch behind G-Grandmother Pitts (in the bonnet) END. So my question is "Is Alexander standing in the middle of the two middle porch poles and is Martha looking down with the bonnet following to the back? Who is the really old lady sitting in the middle in the rocking chair with bonnet on? If that is Albert standing to the very far right then I think Libbie is standing right behind him. Can any body identify anyone? I'm clueless when it comes to this photo. Martha Ann (Huckaby) Pitts and her son Frank Pitts - Photo taken probably shortly before 1917 in Missouri
Photo of Frank Pitts sitting at a typewriter and his mother Martha (Huckaby) Pitts is standing.
Ken Clagett borrowed this photo from Frank, Jr. in 1989. When his father was finishing banking school in Missouri, his mother went to his graduation. Fortunately for us, they took a photo of each graduate with their family. After Ken had the photo reproduced, he gave the original and a framed 8" X 10" to Frank and Juanita Pitts. Frank was later killed in a bank robbery in Ketchum, Craig Co., OK. He was working as a cashier/teller at the time of his death.
