You are beginning to write the best screenplay ever, and you decided not to purchase any special software. Instead, you're going to use Google Docs and this Screenplay template to get your ideas on paper.

Great news! With little to no customization, you can create your screenplay without worrying about formatting! Just use the built-in text styles and this template, and voila!

For parentheticals, use normal paragraph style, just like with dialogue. Remember to space 5 times to indent for your parentheticals.

Nope. This template will automatically capitalize sluglines and character names.

How does it work?

Well, just use the pre-defined headers. Go to the menu above and select "Format > Heading" for sluglines.

To get back to an action, press Return a couple of times from the last dialogue line, then pres Backspace. You should see the cursor return to the left margin.

Remember, when starting a new scene, use the auto-capitalization for your slugline by selecting the H1 heading from the "Format" menu.
