Disney Trip

December 1 - 5, 2008

$175 per person

(Ages 3 and up)

Everest Academy will be going to Disney World in Orlando again this year.  We went last year and had a blast.  You can check out the information from the 2006 trip here:  Disney Trip 2006 .  The trip will include a 5-day hopper pass to all four parks plus four visits to either Typhoon Lagoon and/or Disney Quest.  We visited Disney Quest last year and had an absolute blast.  These tickets will also include one Y.E.S. program for the students.  These are absolutely wonderful programs, and my kids are still talking about the one they attended last year.  The rest of the time is your's to spend as a family.

This is the best time of the year to visit Disney as it is already decorated for Christmas and absolutely gorgeous.  The crowds are also VERY low, and the weather is warm enough for shorts and swimming but not sweltering hot.  The hotel rates are also down.  Last year we stayed in Pop Century, which is the newest of the Value Resorts at Disney, for around $60 per night.  The room was very clean, the grounds nice, not crowded at all, and had three nice-sized pools.  Also, if you stay on Disney property, you do not have to pay for parking every day and get to ride their transportation back and forth.  The key is to wait until a month or so before you go to book the rooms for a lower rate.  The hotels are almost empty, so don't worry about not getting a room.

Disney Youth Education Series (Y.E.S.) transports your students behind the scenes of Disney Theme Parks to showcase how principles they're learning in the classroom make exciting things happen every day at Walt Disney World® Resort. Specially-trained Disney facilitators use captivating material and breathtaking experiences to get your students' eyes wide open.  Disney Y.E.S. field studies allows your group to do things it can't do anywhere else in the world!  Please note which program is your first and second choices for your child.  We will go with the majority vote.

Frequently Asked Questions...

1.  I have a year pass to Disney.  Can I still attend the Y.E.S. program?  Yes, you can sign up with the group and pay a $30 fee to attend the Y.E.S. program.

2.  I can't be there by December 1.  Are the tickets good at any other time?  Yes, in order to get this price for the tickets we have committed to attending the Y.E.S. Program.  That is the only day you HAVE to be there.  Tickets are valid 7 days prior to our scheduled arrival on December 1 until 7 days after our group's main departure date on December 5.  That gives you 19 days to sort of play with as long as your child attends the Y.E.S. program.

3.  What day will be attend the Y.E.S. Program?  Probably December 2, but that will be posted closer to time.

4.  Does this price include hotel accommodations, food, or transportation?  No.  These prices are for the 5-day hopper passes, 4 trips to Blizzard Beach or Disney Quest, and the Y.E.S. program only.

5.  Will there be arranged transportation and/or accommodations?  No, that is up to you to schedule.  I will only be scheduling for this package.

6.  Can our chaperones attend Disney Y.E.S. Programs?  Yes, a limited number of chaperones are permitted to attend Disney Y.E.S. programs; but in some cases not all chaperones may be permitted. A maximum of one chaperone for every five students may attend Disney Y.E.S. Programs.  These will be on priority basis with consideration towards medical problems and age.

7.  Which Y.E.S. Program will be attend?  That depends on who signs up and which programs they choose.  I will go with the majority vote.  If we have enough to sign up, I will try to make more than one group.

8.  How will I get my tickets?  I prefer not to mail them as Disney will not replace them in the case of loss.  I will mail them insured at your request and at your cost.  Otherwise, we will have a get together a few weeks prior so that the kids and parents can meet one another.
