Project Portfolio Segment
Description
After you make any project, it is important to create a portfolio to remind yourself of the work that you did so you can remember it in the future for memories or making another project. Another use for a portfolio, also important, is for representing your work to others. You could make a great looking project but no one will ever know about it or the work it took or even what it is for if you have no portfolio.
Requirements
For this portion of your class portfolio, you will be explaining the
____________________________________ project that you recently finished. You need to include the following items in your portfolio for the project:
- Portfolio cover page
- Autobiography – tell reader about yourself, should be half page
- Project Description Page – each item should be at least a sentence, maybe a paragraph to completely explain project to readers
- Project name
- Project use – what is the project used for?
- Philosophy – would you choose to make this project on your own? Why?
- Materials – what wood / hardware did you use for the project?
- Lessons – what did you learn while working on this project?
- About yourself personally
- About woodworking or the project
- Training – what skills did you use while working on the project that may have come from other classes?
- Reflection – how did the project turn out? Could you make it again?
- Project Bill of Materials – fill in the online version of the bill of materials and submit with portfolio.
- Project Plans – include a typed copy of the plan of procedure for the project
- Project Pictures – create a nice appealing page of pictures of your project
- Project Review Sheet – tell instructor what grade you deserved, this is available online, save, fill-in and submit with rest of portfolio
Once all the parts of your portfolio are complete, follow instructions for submitting the portfolio. Remember that the portfolio is a representation of you and your skills, represent yourself well and honestly.
