Operation Securityfication

Short Description

"Operation Securityfication" is a public mass performance for 20-100 people, and is open to everyone. The goal is by acting as secret service agents to make bystanders believe that some governmental VIP or a billionaire is about to arrive in a mall in Helsinki.

• Ear bud (for the left ear)

Detailed Description

Action

Going around in teams of two and pretending that the area needs to be secured for someone important who is about to arrive soon. You can also ask questions about bystanders' shoes and hats in order to make sure they don't have any explosives...

You can use sentences like:

• Saanko katsoa hattuunne? / may I look into your hat, please.
• Voisitteko riisua kenkänne? / would you take off your shoes, please.
• Ei kai teillä ole räjähteitä piilotettuna päähineeseenne? / do you have any explosives hidden in your head garment?
  

Occasionally, every minute or so, touch your ear bud as if you're receiving orders. Move to different areas looking confident about where you're going. Stay close to your partner.

Rules

• No guns, gun replicas or toy guns.
• No references or gestures of pulling a gun.
• Do not act in any kind of a threatening way.
  
• Do not touch anyone.
• Do not ask to look into people's bags or pockets. We don't want to be associated with ordinary security staff.
  
• Do not limit peoples' movement or ask them to take another route.
• Do not make loud noise. If you want to draw attention, run for 20 meters with a paranoid look on your face. (However, do not pursue actual people...)
