• Leyla Batakci collaborated with Ergun Erçelebi on the article "Audio Watermarking Based on Embedding Strategy in Low Frequency Components with a Binary Image Controlling," which was published in Digital Processing 19 (2009) 265-277.
  • Tim McDevitt and Tom Leap (Computer Science) published an article entitled   “Multimedia Cryptology,” in Cryptologia, April 2009, Vol. 33, No. 2, pp. 142-150.
  • Dr. Gochenaur gave a presentation, Mining for Gold with Guided Field Investigations, at the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics annual conference in Washington, DC in April 2009. 
  • Deborah Gochenaur gave a talk entitled “Finding a Place for MLD in the Post-Secondary World,” at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Conference, Washington, DC April 2009.
  • Tim McDevitt, Derek Eyler ('08), et al. published an article entitled "Winning at Rock, Paper, Scissors", which appeared in the March 2009 issue of the College Mathematics Journal.
  •  Leyla Batakci, Bogdan Doytchinov, Deborah Gochenaur, James Hughes, Tim McDevitt and Gabriela Sanchis attended the Joint AMS/MAA Meetings in Washington D.C. in January 2009. They all gave talks.
  • More than 100 local children participated in the Science and Math Institute for Learning (SMILE) held Saturday, February 7, 20009. The event was coordinated by Debbie Gochenaur and Marla Jones (Education).
  • Jim Wile gave a presentation entitled "Let's Examine Elementary Geometry", at the IU-13 Math forum, held at Hempfield High School in August 2008.
  • James Hughes gave a presentation entitled “Mathematics in Music: An Interdisciplinary Honors Course,” at the MAA Summer MathFest, Madison, WI, August 2008.
  • Gabriela Sanchis is continuing to work on a project entitled "History Across the Mathematics Curriculum for Preservice Teachers", funded by the National Science Foundation (DUE Grant # 0442762). Materials for Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Linear Algebra are now available here.
