[12:21]  Exosius Woolley: My RL partner wanted us to do something online together, like a game or such... we actually met back in 1993 on a local dial - up BBS, in a RPG/chat game environment

[12:22]  Exosius Woolley: I was not too interested in mindless gaming

[12:22]  Exosius Woolley: I like to create.

[12:23]  Exosius Woolley: One day I listned to Adam Curry's podcast and he talked about "buying hair" in Second Life. I have always liked VR science fiction, and this sounded like the same thing

[12:23]  Daffodil Fargis: VR = Virtual Reality?

[12:23]  Exosius Woolley: And as a computer artist/programmer, I had been ideating about a virtual environment for many years.

[12:26]  Exosius Woolley: this is one of the first "looks" I came up with in SL

[12:26]  Exosius Woolley: but I originally made myself tall, alien, blue and with a sculpted headdress thingy

[12:27]  Exosius Woolley: Well.. perhaps a expression of power, in a new and unknown environment

[12:27]  Daffodil Fargis: How important is the looks of your avatar to you?

[12:27]  Exosius Woolley: I have found that happiness with my avatar's appearance translates to self-assurance in RL

[12:32]  Exosius Woolley: yes, this version of "me" is very close. I spent a lot of time on the face and plan to add a mole I have above my lip and other things when I have time
