All This Shit
"I hate this! I hate all this shit!" Kyra screams at the top of her lungs in the high school hallway as she slams her locker door closed.
"What shit, baby girl?" Geoff asks her.
"Shit that you do. Shit that every one does to me."
"Like what, girl?"
"Like my boyfriend flirting with other girls."
"I don't flirt with them." He wraps his arms around her. "I only like you, Kyra. You know that."
"Whatever you say." she says sarcasticly. "And not only that, but also when other girls are flirting with my boyfriend, including my so-called 'best friend'. Can't you tell that she's flirting with you?"
"I didn't really realize that because I was always thinking of you."
"You didn't realize that? She's always asking for your jacket. Especially your trench coat."
"That? You call that flirting?"
"Geoff, I know what flirting is. I used to do it all the time. Guys still try to do it to me."
"Guys are flirting with you? Who? Tell me, now!"
"Why should I tell you who's flirting with me?" Kyra asks as she pulls away from him. "You won't tell me the other girls who are flirting with you."
"Because I said so, that's why. Now, tell me who are they?"
"I'll tell you this much. You know them."
"That really helps me. Now, who are they?"
"They are some pretty cool people."
"Okay, but who are they?"
"They are your friends."
"Which ones? I have lots of friends."
"Wow! I didn't know that!" Kyra says sarcasticly.
"Ha, ha. Very funny, baby girl. Now tell me, who is it? Who's flirting with you?"
"Do you really want to know, Geoffrey? Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
"Are you absolutely, postively sure?"
"Yes. I am absolutely, postively sure that I want to know."
"Fine. I'll give you one hint for one the guys. His name is Willie."
"Willie?"
"Yeah, I think that's what I said."
"What about the other guys?
"What about them?"
"Can you give me hints about them?"
"Sure. I guess I can. Another one is strange. One other one is my ex-boyfriend."
"That really naroies the list down. Kyra, you've had had least 10-15 boyfriends before me."
"Actually, Geoffrey, I only had 23 before you."
"Whatever. Same difference. You were still a little chiflata back then. You're not one now, are you?"
"No, I'm not. I am faithful to you and only to you."
"You promise, Kyra? You promise, baby girl?"
"Yes, I promise. I promise that I will be faithful to you and only to you until we shall break up, that is if we do break up."
"Oh, girl. I know we won't break up. You know how?"
"How, Geoff? How do you know that we won't break up?"
"I know because I am promising you this right now. I promise I will never break up with you."
"Geoff, I don't trust guys anymore. I hate promises. Promises are stupid!"
"But, baby, you know I keep my promises."
"Like when you promised you would take me to prom last year?"
"I meant to. I really did! I just got busy, and we broke up, so I thought that we didn't have to go."
"Do you have any idea what I did that night?"
"No, baby, but tell me."
"I was at home, crying. I was crying because a lot of my friends were there, but I wasn't. I was really lonely that night. I really was."
"I was too. I regretted going."
"But, you didn't call me. Why?"
"Because, because. I don't know why. I guess I didn't have a good excuse."
"You still don't have a good excuse for anything. You say you do but I don't believe you anymore. I hate you!" Kyra screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Kyra, please don't say that!" Geoff screamed back.
People started staring at them. Kyra had rage in her eyes. She was breathing hard. She couldn't control her anger any more. She had been holding it in for years. It finally got the best of her. She threw her stuff down and ran out of the building. She ran to Geoff's car. Geoff picked up her stuff and followed after her. He saw her get into his car. He walked over to his car. He found her crying in the passenger seat. He opened the passenger door.
"Kyra? Are you alright?" He asked her as he put their stuff in the back and kneeled down next to her.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I just get upset. You know how I am when I get upset. I just lose my temper. When I lose it, anything can happen. I panicked and ran. I didn't know what else I could do." Kyra tried to explain. It sounded muffled to Geoff because she had her hands over her face. He pulled her hands away from her face.
"Baby, listen to me. I know I've hurt you before, but I've changed. I will there for you. I love you."
"Do you really mean that?"
"Of course. You can trust me this time. I love you and care for you."
"I love you, too."
