The Future Of Blogs...
Will bloggers begin to use Ajax to enhance there blogs in the future? I think they will. There will one day be a simple blogging tool that will make it so easy to implement various Ajax features into blogs that there will be an insurgence of dynamic and unique blogs that will push the Web 2.0 idea towards its inevitable maturity. You will see some interesting features such as finding the location of a blogger using a built-in Google Maps API, you will be able to search for contacts in a database seamlessly inside the blog, and you will have features like Meebo (the online chat application) to alow for communication within the blog. Imagine calling someone (or getting a call) from within a blog!

Blog + Ajax = Blog 2.0?...
With so many new ideas being created using Ajax, and so many new topics being covered by blogs, it would seem the marriage of these two phenomena would be the next logical step in the evolution and growth of the web. We are embarking on a time where mobile devices are becoming more capable to display content only desktops and semi-mobile computers were able to. The possibilities of combining these more advanced mobile devices that connect to the Internet and the advanced Ajax-enhanced blogs will be amazing. As we begin to develop more sites dedicated to these devices, we will find new ways to make the interaction of blogs easier and more entertaining. This will cause more mobile devices to be more ergonomic to the user. It will spark a new age of creativity in the digital world.

Long Live The Blog...
As an example of how blogs will evolve into a more dynamic and interesting avenue of displaying interesting content, keep your eye on the NET9 Blog. We will be incorporating some interesting features using a little Ajax to make the navigation of the blog interesting and easy to use. There are already blogging features that give a good idea of the direction blogs and blogging tools are headed. One is the calendar feature used for navigation to previous postings. Blogs have become more than a journal to professional bloggers as they use ads and sponsors to make a profit. Many have used blogs to present podcasts and even videocasts to an audience. There are amazing possibilities with photo blogs if you think of how you could use Ajax to do things like Flickr does with photos. The blog is here to stay, Ajax is here to make the web cooler, and the mobile devices are constantly getting better at presenting the content. It is the meshing of these technologies that will make the Internet a wonderful place to visit.
