Yoga with Eugene |
My goal is to bring together yoga sessions, massage therapy and instructing outdoor activities so I can support my community remain active in their outdoor passions.
Yoga is great cross-training for outdoor activities. Stretching muscles not only speeds recovery from weekend events, but can lengthen your stride and reach. Learning new body postures, such as one legged balances, can move you past plateaus in your current skill base. By learning to mentally relax during physical activity, you can build the foundation for being 'in the zone' in activities like climbing.

Eugene has been teaching since 1997. He studies in the Iyengar tradition with Aadil Palkhivala, a Senior Teacher from India, and Julie Gudmestad, Physical Therapist and author on Yoga Anatomy. |
“I wanted to share authentic yoga, so it was important for me to study with someone raised in the Indian tradition. But also learning from an anatomy expert enables me to fit yoga to the Western body and lifestyle” - Eugene |

Force and feeling cannot go together. If you force, you cannot feel, if you feel, you cannot force. Therefore, choose feeling. - Aadil Palkhivala |

One gift of yoga is learning to be centered. This isn't just an interesting philosophical idea; it's a real mental and physical discipline you practice every time you do a pose. – Julie Gudmestad |
