MyContainerBox
by Nathan G Zhang

MyContainerBox was first purchased from the W. E. Holmes Container Company in late 2008 for $130 cash by a fictional company called Zhang Shi Chuan Bo for use in tracking logistics crates in the global shipping lanes.

When MyContainerBox (hereafter shortened to "MCB") was used for the first time, it carried boxes of books from New York Harbor to Morrocco for resale in Mali. Along the way, it encountered storms, strong winds, and some seawater corrosion, which was repaired when it got to Morrocco. Then it was loaded with toothpaste and bottled tea, and headed for Saudi Arabia. Along the way, the ship was unsuccessfully attacked by Somali pirates, whose boat sank when it was rammed by the defensive cargo carrier. Upon arriving at port in Dubai, it had to stay out at sea for three days due to a tropical depression. Then it unloaded and the MCB was reloaded with boxes of Red Bull and the new carrier took it to Hong Kong. Along the way, it encountered another tropical depression, named "Jinglong", that nearly sank the boat, but the boat still made it to harbor at Hong Kong safely. Then MCB was loaded with apparel, and sent back to the States to go through its overhaul at San Fransisco Port.

All this for just one container box. Man, I wish I were a container box! Heh heh...
