COMMON INSTANCES WHERE OFFICE WILL NEED TO INITIATE FORM 50:



    1. RCA converting to Career status Regular Rural Carrier

    2. Regular Rural Carrier bids onto another vacant route

    3. SUB or RCA - 90 calendar days after assignment to auxiliary route

    4. SUB or RCA - 90 calendar days after assignment to a vacant route

    5. SUB or RCA Des. 79 where auxiliary route goes regular

    6. SUB or RCA Des. 74 where vacant regular route is bid out or regular returns.
    7. RCA/RCR reassigning to another leave replacement vacancy-ONLY if they are NOT currently a Des.79, who elected to serve both the auxiliary route and as the primary on a regular route. (The Form 50 will interrupt their leave earning status.)

    8. Regular Rural Carrier in a higher level assignment over 30 calendar days

    9. Regular Rural Carrier when higher level assignment ends

    10. Regular/PTF/RCA/RCR/TRC when resigns or retires

    11. RCA/RCR converting to Dual appointment (casual)

    12. RCA/RCR when dual appointment is terminated

    13. RCA/Substitute converting to PTF

    14. PTF converting to Regular Rural Carrier
