Venue

Gosforth High School, Knightsbridge, Great North Road,
Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 2JH

Gosforth High School is situated north of Gosforth High Street, on the left going north, just past the Regent Centre Metro Station and opposite Asda.

There is ample parking in the school car park.

Admission

Doors open from 9:30am the event starts at 10am. If you have already paid the £10 admission online your name will be on a list with the helpers at the door. Just identify yourself and they will let you in. If you are paying on the door the entry fee is £10. That fee is for the whole day, you will be able to come and go as many times as you wish during the day. If you would like to bring a friend or friends please do.

The Laughter Workshop is an additional event at the end of the day.

Shared lunch

To minimise the costs of the event and to maximise the particpation and enjoyment the lunch will be in the form of a shared picnic/buffet. Please bring with you a food 'offering' of some sort, enough for you and one or two other people. Bring whatever you like or whatever you are good at making. For example: cake, quiche, salad, a large bag of crisps, cheese and crackers, garlic bread, etc, etc, etc. There's an Asda over the road from the venue if you need to buy something. One of the halls will be set out with tables and benches. Food can be left on those tables for lunchtime. Please label any food containers or serving utensils so you can recover them easily at the end. Plates and cutlery will be provided.

Information about presentations

In the main hall there will be sign up sheets for each of the presentations. People who have signed up online will have priority for that presentation.  All the presentations are taking place in classrooms along a corridor near the main meeting room. Each of them will be marked with their 'colour' and a list of presentations in that room. The rooms are of a modest size so it better to sign up quickly to make sure that you are able to attend the presentation of your choice.

The shorter sessions are timed at 40 minutes. When your presentation is over please leave the room quickly to allow the next presentation to start on time.

There will be seating areas available in the main hall if you want to continue discussions with presenters or other participants.

Please Help

This is a big event with a lot to do and no paid staff to do it. If you would like to help in any little way to make this an even better day please drop me a line andy@practicalwellbeing.co.uk or call 0754 700 9116.

The following kinds of help would be gratefully appreciated.

The more people who volunteer the easier it will be for everyone
