Course Description:

This course is designed to provide an opportunity to master the skills of entering alphabetic and numeric information on a keyboard and a ten-key numeric pad using the touch method of keystroking. Emphasis is placed on the development of speed and accuracy, proper keying techniques, and correct fingering. Students will work to type 35 gross words a minute (GWAM) or more by the end of class. In addition, students will have an opportunity to develop skills in formatting various business documents of their choice.
