Kailyn Knight Creates Facebook Group for Lane County Darfur Coalition
University of Oregon student, Kailyn Knight, launches new Facebook group for Lane County Darfur Coalition (LCDC). The group, “Bring the Olympic Dream to Darfur,” will motivate members and friends to create awareness about China’s influence in Darfur.
Eugene, Ore., March 11, 2008
“Bring the Olympic Dream to Darfur” updates members about highlights in the news, including topics about China, Sudan, the 2008 Olympics and the Eugene Olympic trials.
The group posts weekly discussion questions about China and its influence in Sudan to create dialogue between members.
The group has posted links about China’s involvement in Sudan to educate members.
Although the account was created on March 5, 2008, the group has reached over 150 members.
