Description:
This project is geared for students in grade levels 3-7th. grade interested in learning about 20th. century inventors and their inventions. Groups will develop a presentation (5 – 7 minutes) giving clues about an 20th. century inventor and his/her invention.
Learner Outcomes:
During the revealing period, students should be prepared to give a short biographical account of their inventor, explain their invention and how it is applicable to our world today.
Time:
2 hours (3 presentations, 3 break out sessions, 3 debriefings)
Preparation:
Groups research an inventor, his/her invention, and develop a presentation that includes technology (PowerPoint, Smart Board
Materials:
Posters, computers, encyclopedias (electronic versions or printed), books about science (biographies, or trade books)

Since this is a unit about biographies and science, there is not a specific time during the year. It could also be an ongoing project/collaboration
