Structure / Ground Rules
- presentations will be focused on research and/or scholarship in medical education
- our goal is to make this a community building experience, to build contacts and fuel discussion
- the environment should be informal & supportive (no heavy sighs...)
- we'll have 1-2 presenters at each session
- if we have only 1 presenter, we'll select a journal club article for the other half of the session
- attendance is not mandatory (but please do commit to come when you are able)
- we will reserve 10-15 min for last-minute presentations for folks with a new research idea, or headed out to present & interested in some preliminary feedback (please let us know a few days in advance if you'd like to do this)
- we may add a second monthly session on a different day of the week to fit schedules of those who have routine Monday commitments

Needs Assessment
- what med ed research is going on at UW?
- collaboration around integrating simulation (electronic, SPs, etc.)
- collaboration around digital opportunities/software
- learning about new educational tools
- how to generally improve the ways we teach
- learning how to bring evidence to what and how we teach
- impact and dissemination
- interest in learning theory
- grant opportunities
- educational resources that can be used in WWAMI & training people for rural practice
- list of resources on the blog for upcoming medical education conferences and journal deadlines
