April 2009
Dear Potential Vendor,
Thank you for your interest in being a vendor at the Champlain Islands Farmer’s Market for the 2009 season.
The Champlain Islands Farmer’s Market has two locations this year: South Hero on Wednesday evenings at St Rose of Lima Church on Rte 2 (across from Keeler Bay Variety) and Grand Isle on Saturdays at St Joseph Church on Rte 2 (next to A&B).
New this year, we will be offering a “Traveling Farmers Market” at Knights Point State Park on Tuesdays in July, Isle LaMotte on Fridays in August, and at Applefest in South Hero in October. Also, we will be offering a winter farmers market November through April, once a month on the first Saturday of the month (except for November there will be a special Thanksgiving market the third Saturday of the month).
The Champlain Islands Farmers Market is looking for diverse Vermont Agriculturalists, Vermont Artisans, Vermont Prepared Food Vendors, and local youth vendors. We are also looking for community members who would like to help with special events and helping out at the farmers market.
We have enclosed our bylaws, 2009 season application, the Champlain Islands Farmer’s Market Bylaws and guidelines. Please READ thoroughly all the materials. The application and fee is due by May 1, 2009, after this date applications accepted as space permits. There will be a mandatory meeting of all vendors – new and returning on May 21, 2009 at the South Hero Congregational Church hall at 6:00pm. The site allocations are limited. Your fees will allow you to sell at both market locations and traveling farmers market if space allows.
PLEASE NOTE: If you received this application electronically, you will NOT receive a hard copy in the mail, so please print out the application and mail it in.
We look forward to working with you in this 2009 growing season.
Sincerely,
Christine Bourque
