New Podcast Series Highlights the Importance of Research
In a new podcast series for students and professionals, a student at the University of Oregon investigates the use of research in developing public relations campaigns.
Eugene, Ore., March 11, 2008
The podcast runs every Thursday at 4 p.m. and ranges from five to seven minutes in length.
Each week the podcast focuses on a different aspect of public relations research and evaluation.
“Knowing Is Half the Battle” addresses a variety of research techniques ranging from how to get started to advanced evaluation techniques.
The series includes insight from leading public relations scholars and practitioners.
The first episode will air Thursday, March 13, 2008. Each new episode will be available online the Friday after it originally airs at http://mynameisb.wordpress.com.

Branden Johnson is a fifth-year senior in the public relations sequence at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. He is the director of Allen Hall Public Relations, an intern with the Ulum Group and a member of the executive board of the University of Oregon chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
