The meeting was called to order at 7pm by our president Kelly Kroon

Visitors for the night were - Bea Statz, who also joined the guild Monday night and Cynthia Errett

Shirley Alexander will temporarily be filling in as treasurer for June Behnke

Birthday – Deb Cavanaugh – Weren’t the brownies and ice cream scrumptious?

The minutes from June and the treasurer’s report were formally approved

With the addition of the dues that have been paid.

Sherri Enke and Chris Mangano were our hostesses.

It was decided a card would be sent from the Guild to Lorna Maxwell, whose husband is very ill. Lorna was suppose to be teaching at the 7/13/09 meeting, but had to cancel. Deb Cavanaugh stepped up and offered to teach painting on fabric instead.

Shirley won the drawing for Orange Fat Quarters

Show and Tell – Kelly, Eva, Deb and Jane had wonderful items to show us.

Fabric Painting – The rest of the meeting----and the most fun, was spent trying to paint fabric. Deb Cavanaugh taught us the technique, and did a wonderful job. Not only did she let us try the fabric painting, she brought in tons of beautiful examples to inspire us. I think we all went away with a new appreciation for people who do this, and many of us will probably try it again. THANKS again to Deb.
