Public Safety Advisory Board meeting 11/19 (11-1pm): feedback and reps.
There has been several robberies on campus. If anyone has anything to say about the safety issues on campus and would be like to be the representative of GSA, please feel free to contact us (email Ryan Fowler, email address can be found on GSA website).
(Ryan Fowler): will go to the meeting and try to report in the December GSA regular council meeting.
Feedback on judicial/integrity system.
(Ryan): There was a senate meeting on this past Friday, in which we were given a report on accreditation of University. It appeared that Rutgers is doing well.
There has been efforts to revamp the judicial/integrity system. To report major infractions is an onerous task on TAs. The task involves so much effort that the professors tend not to report these major infractions and as a result, minor infractions are usually reported and people committed these minor infractions got expelled by school, which is apparently not fair. Please email Ryan a summary or discussion regarding any experience that they have with the judicial system (length of time, size of the task… etc) and any academic integrity issues.
Reports
GSA Officers:
Halloween Party?
(Charlotte): The party was a success. Some photos were uploaded to the GSA picassa online album and some have not been uploaded. Please go and check out the pictures. If anyone here has any more idea about coming up with parties, we would definitely like to hold more for our students.
RCSSA/Soccer Club tournament
Some group in DE was upset by some decisions made in the soccer tournament and sent angry letters to a few presses, including the daily Targum, and to the president of Rutgers as well as the president of the GSA, accusing RCSSA of embezzlement . During the meeting, representative from RCSSA reported that the issue has been resolved.
