APes News Reports
This is your opportunity to report on something going on in the world, environment currently that peaks your interest.
Details:
*Be prepared & ready to go at the start of class
*Prepare 10 to 15 minutes MAX
*You must present a current environmental event
*You may use a radio, newspaper, media internet source (New York Times online), magazine/periodical, or tv source as your inspiration. This must be documented (see documentation below).
*You must present the story, at least 1 question for the class to consider based on the story and your point of view (perspective on the story) to the class during your presentation.
*You may use any medium to help you make your presentation-- a radio clip (to be broadcast to class via computer), a newspaper article to share with class, a posterboard, etc.
*You may structure your 10 to 15 minutes in any fashion. (see examples below)
-Round-table discussion
-Radio listening following by discussion prompt
-Short video to be viewed followed by discussion
-Interactive activity getting people involved in role-playing based on your story
-Demonstration of event/story

Please hand in the following on the day of your presentation.
*The source of your News story. The date, title and exact source of where your story originated. Example: NPR, August 25, 2008 "All things considered" 7 pm broadcast: The California Report, Lead in our Houses.
*A 1 page summary of the story in your own words and 1 additional paragraph that explains your interest in this story.
