Regular season rules.
Double elimination.
Seeding is based on winning percentage during regular season.
Home team: All fields are neutral. A coin will be flipped 60 minutes prior to the game to determine the home and visiting teams. The high seed will make the call on the coin toss.
Field Assignments were drawn from a hat.
Dates: We've had to be creative with the game schedule in order to get the tournament in this year due to so many conflicts. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
Field Swaps: In order to have a fair and balanced tournament, the Boards from Calistoga, St. Helena and Yountville have decided there will be no swapping of fields once the fields are set.
Announcers: Every effort will be made to announce all games. If you are interested in announcing, please let a board member know. We need more announcers!
Pin Ceremony: There will be an on-field pin ceremony after the 2nd loss for each team.
Tie Breaker procedure: If two teams have identical winning percentages at the conclusion of the regular season, we'll break the "tie" as follows:
Head-to-head record.
Cut Deck of Cards: If the two teams split their regular season games (i.e. Minors play each other twice), then the Managers will cut a deck of cards. High card wins. Aces are high. If both managers draw the same card (e.g. both draw 10's), the Managers will re-draw.
